“A BREATH OF FRESH AIR”
Our daughter Emerson was enrolled in 3-year-old-preschool for the 2019/2020 school year. The beginning of the year started out a little rough. Her teacher was unorganized and not prepared. We were contemplating pulling our daughter out of preschool because we did not think she was getting a quality preschool experience. In October of 2019, Sherry was hired to replace the current teacher. Sherry was a breath of fresh air! She is extremely knowledgeable of early childhood development. We noticed a difference immediately when Sherry took over. Sherry began incorporating more academics and fun art projects! Emerson loves going to school and asks every morning if it is a school day! Emerson has learned early literacy skills such as: upper and lower case letters, many letter sounds, how to write her name, and rhyming words. Emerson has also learned many math concepts such as: counting beyond 20, recognizes her numbers, patterns, sorting, and comparing sizes of objects. We love that Emerson is learning how to get along with others, take turns, and follow directions. We are so thankful for Sherry and her knowledge of early childhood. My children loved having Ms. Sherry as their preschool teacher. She was creative and kind and kept my children engaged in activities throughout the class time. Ms. Sherry is an amazing preschool teacher! She is always kind, open and professional in her interactions with parents and students. She easily recognizes children’s unique needs, both academic and emotional. I am a parent of three high energy children and she was able to incorporate active learning into her curriculum to keep them engaged and following directions. Ms. Sherry also had a way of connecting with each student to make them feel special, which to me, is so important. “SHE GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND”
My son had Mrs. Sherry Smith for his preschool teacher during the 2019-2020 school year. Mrs. Smith has been such a blessing to our family and we are forever grateful for the love, guidance, education and compassion she showed all of us. Mrs. Smith took on a challenging position when she stepped up as the preschool teacher after the lead teacher resigned from the position. Before she took the position, we had contemplated removing our son from the preschool program, but once meeting Mrs. Smith and seeing the instant connection he made with her we chose to keep him enrolled. I am so very thankful that we did because she has been nothing shy of amazing ever since. We have loved watching him learn, grow and thrive under her guidance. She goes above and beyond to make sure that her students feel successful, comfortable and loved every single day, and for that we will be forever grateful. Our only wish would be for her to be his teacher for many years to come!
